    Undergraduate Program

    The Geomatics Department is under the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya. The Department of Geomatics has a vision to become an international standard education program in the utilization and development of mapping survey science and technology to support the geospatial information industry and Natural Resource management. Geomatics Engineering students are prepared to be students who can create science, technology in the field of spatial information system management, design competent and skilled projects in mastering survey and mapping technology in order to support development in the information and globalization era.

     

    Curriculum Evaluation

    • To contribute in science and technology for the welfare of the community through education, research, community service and management based on information and communication technology.
    • To conduct higher education with international quality of curriculum, lecturers and learning methods based on information and communication technology.
    • To conduct education, research, and community engagement, ITS should glorify humanity with dignity as the creation of God Almighty.
    • To conduct education, research, and community engagement, ITS must prioritize the preservation and improvement of nature and its environment quality.
    • To conduct education, research, and community engagement, ITS must prioritize the state, homeland, and national interests of Indonesia.

    A. Able to apply mathematics, science, and engineering knowledge in the fields of geodesy, surveying, hydrography, remote sensing, photogrammetry, geographic information systems, and cadastral to gain a thorough understanding of the engineering principle.

    B. Able to design survey and mapping activities using the latest technology in the fields of geodesy, surveying, hydrographic, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and cadastral.

    C. Able to identify, formulate, analyze and solve problems in the fields of geodesy, surveying, hydrographic, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and cadastral.

    D. Able to perform spatial data acquisition using modern measurement methods, geospatial data processing, using industry standard software, and making standard designs and analyzes in the fields of geodesy, surveying, hydrography, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and cadastral

    E. Able to apply information & communication technology and the latest technological developments in the fields of geodesy, surveying, hydrographic, remote sensing, photogrammetry, geographic information systems, and cadastral

    F. Able to compile scientific reports and provide solutions based on leadership, creativity and communication skills and being responsible for the work done

    G. Able to plan, perform and evaluate the process of surveying and mapping activities using the latest technology in the fields of geodesy, surveying, hydrographic, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and cadastral

    H. Able to work in inter-disciplinary and inter-cultural teams so they can compete at national and international levels

    I. Able to be responsible to the community and adhere to professional ethics in solving technical problems in the fields of geodesy, surveying, hydrographic, remote sensing, photogrammetry, geographic information systems, and cadastral

    J. Able to apply the concepts of management, entrepreneurship, innovation based on the latest technology, sustainable and environmentally perspective

    Graduates of the Geomatics Engineering Study Program are expected to have the ability;

    • Bachelor of Geomatics Engineering who is able to use and develop science and technology in the fields of urveying and cadastral, geodesy and geodynamics, geospatial, geomarin and geoinformatics to support national development in order to improve public welfare.
    • Producing professionals and entrepreneurs who are capable, skilled and innovative in mastering survey and mapping technology based on geospatial information technology in order to support development in the information and globalization era.
    • Individuals who have insight with economic, environmental and sustainable development perspectives.
    • Individuals who are eager to develop themselves and careers in positive character
