To achieve the vision, mission, and strategic development plan of the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (F-ELECTICS) at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, a Strategic Plan Development Team and guidelines have been established.
The following are the pages of the annual report from the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (F-ELECTICS).
Thursday, September 19, 2024 The Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (ELECTICS) at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) remains committed to advancing innovation and technological development through flagship products such as the Autonomous Car (iCAR ITS), service robot RAISA, humanoid robot ICHIRO, and educational robots. To further these initiatives, the Center of Excellence for Science and Technology (PUI) AI-HeS secured funding from HETI-ADB to build a teaching factory. This project aims to establish an ICT-Robotics Cluster as a facility for robot production and support modules, as well as a learning platform for students.
Friday, September 13, 2024 The Biomedical Engineering Department of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), part of the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (ELECTICS), has strengthened its international partnerships through the Global Project-based Learning (GPbL) program. This collaboration involves Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) from Japan and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) from Malaysia. The program ran from August 19 to September 4, 2024. This partnership traces back to the visit of Prof. Akihiko Hanafusa from Shibaura Institute of Technology to ITS in 2017, which laid the foundation for this collaboration. Although Prof. Hanafusa retired in early 2024, the collaborative spirit has continued with other professors from SIT.
Wednesday, September 4, 2024 Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) routinely holds Leadership Meetings every Tuesday. On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (ELECTICS) had the opportunity to host this week's ITS Leadership Meeting. The event took place in the Prof. Handayani Tjandrasa Hall, Department of Informatics Engineering. The meeting was attended by ITS Rector, Mr. Bambang Pramujati, ST, M.Sc.Eng., Ph.D., the four ITS Vice Rectors, Deans, and Vice Deans from all faculties, as well as other leaders.
Thursday, October 3, 2024 In the face of modernization and global challenges, students from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) continue to demonstrate their real contribution through the Community Service Program (KKN ABMAS). The year 2024 marks an important milestone for the High Voltage Laboratory, Department of Electrical Engineering at ITS, which successfully delivered technology-based innovative solutions for rural communities. Khoirul Anam, one of the members of the KKN ABMAS team, led two ambitious projects implemented in two different villages, namely Jambuwer Village, Malang, and Ngronggot Village, Nganjuk. The two innovations presented reflect sensitivity to local community issues while affirming that technology can embrace simplicity and become a catalyst for change.
Wednesday, September 11, 2024 For some students, participating in an overseas program is an opportunity that not only broadens their horizons but also enriches their academic and professional experiences. This is also felt by several students who had the opportunity to participate in the Summer Program at The State University of New York - New Paltz. This program offers the chance to deepen knowledge outside their main field of study and experience learning in an international environment. Falah Ibnu Rachman, one of the participants who initially studied Electrical Engineering at ITS, decided to take the Corporate Financial Management study program during this program. This decision was made for a strong reason: his desire to try a different field from electrical engineering and to increase his value by studying in America, which is known for having one of the best financial systems. ``Since America is really famous, especially in finance, I want to try a field other than electrical engineering,`` he said.
Monday, September 9, 2024 The Ichiro Team from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) has once again made a proud achievement by winning at the RoboCup 2024, held in Eindhoven, Netherlands. In this competition, the Ichiro Team participated in two categories, namely Soccer - Humanoid Kidsize League and Technical Challenge, where they secured first place in the Technical Challenge category. Preparation for RoboCup 2024 began in February, with the Ichiro Team conducting intensive training every night at the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory. Their main focus was on updating the robot's body design, tidying up the wiring, and improving the robot's program performance. Evaluations from each regular training session were key to addressing any shortcomings, ensuring that the Ichiro robot performed optimally during the competition.
