ITS Presents a Study Program called Artificial Intelligence Engineering (RKA). This study program is a development of the Informatics Engineering study program, this study program is under the auspices of the Informatics Engineering Department, Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (FT-EIC).
As with the RPL Study Program which just opened this year, this study program will be under the auspices of the Informatics Engineering Department so that all lecture activities will take advantage of the facilities, facilities, infrastructure in the department. “Laboratories and lecturers who will support learning later are also the same as those that existed before in Informatics Engineering,” said the Head of the ITS Informatics Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Eng. In the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineering study program, students learn how to develop systems that are able to mimic human abilities in thinking, learning, and adapting to the environment. This study program develops knowledge in the field of computer science, especially in the field of artificial intelligence, to create smart and innovative solutions in the fields of industry, education, health and others. Examples of applications include object recognition in images, chatbots, virtual assistants, self-driving cars, and recommendation systems. “Graduates of this study program will have competence in designing, analyzing, implementing, and testing effective and efficient AI systems,” said Chastine.
The job prospects or graduate profiles that will be produced by this study program are Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer, Data Intelligence Analyst, Social Data/Media Analyst, Graphics & Computer Vision Engineer, Game & Animation Programmer/Developer, Xtended Reality Programmer/Developer
Furthermore, the Head of the Informatics Engineering Department explained the technical aspects of admission and acceptance of new students for the new RKA Study Program, registration was opened on 3-9 July 2023 and will only be open in the independent selection path wave II, with a quota of 40 seats.
It is hoped that the opening of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering study program will be relevant to the demands of the industry in the future. Graduates of this study program are expected to have competence in designing, analyzing, implementing, and testing efficient and effective artificial intelligence systems.
