ITS Campus, ITS News– Mayor of Surabaya , Eri Cahyadi ST MT gave a speech and thank you at the 1000 orphan charity event held by the 11th IKA ITS. The event was held at the Manarul ilmi mosque and attended by 1,050 orphans from 23 orphanages in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. IKA ITS provided takjil, gifts, and backpacks complete with books, pencils, and other school supplies to 1000 orphans. The backpacks given came from the hands of Surabaya City UMKM bag craftsmen. The series of charity events this year also included the distribution of takjil and sahur for the general public and students. IKA ITS also carried out community empowerment activities by repairing ablution stations and other facilities at nearby mosques.
