FTE-IC Successfully Winning Championships in 6 different categories in the 2023 ITS MTQ Event

On Sunday, May 7 2023 at the ITS Manarul Ilmi Mosque, the ITS 2023 Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) Grand Final was held. This grand final event was divided into 2 types of events, namely online and also offline.

Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) ITS itself is an annual religious competition event held in the ITS environment for students, where the categories contested in this year’s MTQ are, Musabaqah Syarhil Qur’an (MSQ), Scientific Debate on Al-Quran Content in Language English (DII), Al-Quran Scientific Writing (KTIA), Qur’an Application Design (DAQ), Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an (MHQ) 5-10-30 Juz, Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ), and Musabaqah Tartilil Qur’an (MTarQ) Boys/Women.

Muhammad Syaiful Huda, as the Chief Executive of MTQ ITS 2023 said that “there are limitations in resources, we will organize the allowances offline and online.

We will hold several branches that require in-person assessment, such as MTQ and MTarQ, while other branches such as MHQ, KTIA and DAQ will be held online.” he said

One of the winners, Muhammad Lukmanul Hakim said that he received information about this competition through social media, he also said that initially during the preliminary selection, it should have been held offline, but had to go online because of limited selectors.

“I was supposed to be offline, but when I was about to appear, the ustadz couldn’t be offline, so I made a video and thank God I made it to the final round,” said Lukman

When asked about his reasons for participating in this competition, he said that previously when he was in junior high and high school he also had an interest and connection in this field. Apart from that, last year, he also participated in this MTQ competition, and when this year was held again he took the initiative to return to this event, and won competitions in 2 different categories, the Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an Category and the Musabaqah Tartilil Qur’an Category. ‘an (MTarQ) Putra Branch

“Because last year I have participated, this year I am excited to try and participate again. Alhamdulillah, it was paid off and I was able to bring home the champions in 2 categories at once.”

Finally, Lukman said that all those who won the ITS MTQ event would be coached again and would later be screened and included for national level competitions
