Entering the new year 2024 as well as the Even Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year, the 2024 ITS Chancellor’s Beginning of Year Speech was held on Monday, January 22 2024 at Graha ITS Sukolilo. This annual event provides the ITS Chancellor with the opportunity to provide a report at the beginning of the year, summarizing the institute’s achievements over the previous year. Apart from that, this event is also a forum for conveying appreciation from the Chancellor to work units, faculties, departments, and study programs for the achievements that have been achieved with the Chancellor’s Award.
Through Chancellor’s Decree Number 2659/IT2/T/HK.00.01/2023, two Electics departments were recorded as having succeeded in winning four of the nine department and study program level appreciation titles.
In the S1/D4 Study Program category with the Largest Fund Contribution, the Department of Informatics Engineering won 1st place and the Department of Electrical Engineering won 3rd place. Meanwhile, in the category of Doctoral Study Program with the Largest Fund Contribution, the Electrical Engineering Doctoral Study Program won 2nd place and the Doctoral Study Program Computer Science won 3rd place.

Apart from that, both departments participated in making ITS proud with numerous and superior championship achievements. The Department of Electrical Engineering achieved the title of 1st Place in the Highest Number of Competition Championship Achievements category, while the Department of Information Engineering succeeded in obtaining 2nd Place. This achievement reflects the dedication of the students, supported by competent supervisors.
Becoming a reference in the scientific field in the world of education and research is a good goal for ITS, especially the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology. The Informatics Engineering Department succeeded in showing its commitment to these ideals by achieving 3rd place in the Research and Publication Productivity category with the highest Scopus index.
