RAISA Launched at ITS Some Time Ago.

The Covid-19 Research and Innovation Consortium, which was proposed by the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency (Kemenristek / BRIN) launched Indonesian innovation products for handling Covid-19 with the theme of the Awakening of Indonesian Innovations. This launch coincided with National Awakening Day. Two ITS innovation works in the medical field were included in the national products which were officially launched by President R.I Joko Widodo. The two products are RAISA and face shield.

At this event, ITS sent many national products to Kemenristek / BRIN. Still, these two works were chosen to be displayed along with other domestic superior products, as explained by the Director of Research and Community Service (DRPM) ITS Agus Muhamad Hatta, ST, M.Sc., Ph.D. Both ITS works were chosen because they have advantages. RAISA is used to help health workers at Airlangga University Hospital while face shields have been produced more than 150 thousand with a donation system.

The introduction of RAISA by ITS some time ago.

Bambang Pramujati, ST, M.Sc., M.Eng., Ph.D., Vice-Chancellor IV for Research, Innovation, Collaboration and ITS Alumni, also explained that the two works of ITS provide a sense of security for health workers working to handle Covid-19 patient. Thus, these two works offer significant benefits for health workers. No wonder, the face shield which is the work of ITS has been successfully distributed to various provinces in Indonesia.

The event organized by the Ministry of Research and Technology / BRIN is a form of government appreciation for ITS and other inventors in Indonesia to deal with the plague of Covid-19. As a continuation of this event, Hatta hoped that the two ITS works could be mass-produced because many regions in Indonesia needed them.

Specifically for RAISA robots, ITS and Airlangga University Hospital have agreed to produce more RAISA because the Research Team has obtained permission and funding from Kemenristek / BRIN to produce RAISA. Bambang also revealed that we must be aware of and rise with products of innovation by the Indonesian’s people.
