The next series of events went well but did not end as usual. There was an award and prize-giving session for the achieving departments. This event was held to give an injection of enthusiasm and as a form of appreciation for various extraordinary achievements in 2022.

The Computer Engineering Department is one of the award winners given by the Chancellor. This achievement is in the category of, Department with the Highest Scopus International Publication Ratio. The award is given to the department that has the highest Scopus international publication ratio. The calculation of the ratio is a comparison of the number of lecturers who are listed as writers at Sinta with the number of articles published and assessed for their Scopus. The Department of Computer Engineering has a Scopus ratio score of 43.66 with 18 authors and 786 Scopus articles. This value is the highest for the department level at ITS. “This was a surprise for us because, to be honest, we didn’t prepare anything because there was no notification about the award. Moreover, doing international publications is not easy. However, we always do our best and support the lecturers who do it considering that research is one part of the Tri Dharma of Research.” explained Mr. Supeno Mardi Susiki, head of the Computer Engineering Department.

In addition to the award, the department also received an appreciation fund of Rp. 20,000,000. –  Mr. Uki, the head of the department, said that later the funds would be used to organize gatherings or events to gather and eat together in order to bring fellow members of the community together. He hopes that in the future the Electrical Engineering Department will develop to have its own international seminar and reach the target of publication. With the achievement of such a research model, it is hoped that the department can support and contribute to ITS’s global goals.
