Two days ago, on Friday 27 January 2023 to be precise, a group departed from the ITS campus to the training location at Surya Hotel & Cottages, Pasuruan. The training which was held for three days and two nights was attended by 100 participants including the Dean of FT-EIC ITS Mr. Ir. I Ketut Eddy Purnama and Deputy Dean Dr. Diana Purwitas S.Kom., M.Sc., as well as educational staff from six departments in the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (FTEIC). Participants attended the presentation of the work program on the first day, training and workshops on the second day, outbound and bonding on the last day, and several other activities.
On the afternoon of January 27, the participants arrived at the hotel and immediately gathered in the hotel hall. The event was officially opened by singing the Indonesia Raya song and the ITS Hymn. Furthermore, there is a report and explanation from the Chairman of the Committee, Drs. Ngarbi and welcome by Dr. I Ketut Eddy Purnama, S.T., M.T., as Dean of FTEIC. The main event was filled with the presentation of the work program for FTEIC educators in 2023 by the Head of the TU FTEIC ITS Section, Drs. Ngarb. The day before maghrib, the participants were directed to go to their respective rooms and rest, waiting for the training on Understanding the Character of Colleagues at night.
On the second day, there were a series of activities that became the core of the event in this training. Starting with training on the preparation of SKP, the participants were divided according to their fields to learn the procedures for preparing a good SKP. Furthermore, there is a socialization of the ITS level kickball competition. Entering the mid-afternoon and afternoon, participants took part in the Team Building and Work Motivation Improvement Workshop which was filled in by Mr. Adri Suyanto, S.H. Then the participants were invited to discuss the ITS ITS Improvement ITS Creative Idea Identification, Text2Dia & Tendik Research 2023. Participants are welcome to rest after the discussion session and regroup in the evening for the evening together agenda.
“With this Work Motivation Improvement Training, we also understand what things to avoid and do when morale is low. For other benefits, it feels like a very close kinship, from those who didn’t know each other at first so they know each other and can chat,” said Yeni, one of the training participants from the Information Systems Department.
The last day, which was short because it only lasted half a day, was filled with gymnastics and outbound activities for the participants. After the outbound was finished, the participants cleaned themselves and prepared to travel back to Surabaya. This ended the series of training activities to Increase the Work Motivation of FTEIC 2023 Educators. It is hoped that this event will bring many positive impacts and increase work motivation to the participants, namely FT-EIC ITS Education Staff.
