SEA-CICSIC 2025 (Southeast Asia – China International College Students’ Innovation Competition) is the Southeast Asian regional version of the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (CICSIC). This event is held as a platform to encourage cross-cultural collaboration, innovation development, and entrepreneurship among university students.
Since 2015, CICSIC has attracted 20.8 million participants, with over 5.14 million projects from 5,406 universities in 153 countries and regions. This year, SEA-CICSIC 2025 received over 7,000 innovations from students across the 10 ASEAN member countries, reflecting the high level of enthusiasm of the younger generation in providing innovative solutions to global challenges.
This year’s event, under the guidance of Dr. Adithya Sudiarno, ST, IDipNEBOSH, MT., a team of EPSK Laboratory Assistants, successfully brought honor to the institution by winning Second Prize in the Postgraduate category. The team presented an innovation called Agrifloat, an automatic sensor- and GPS-based transportation device for oil palm fresh fruit bunches (FFB). This device utilizes irrigation channels in plantation areas as an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative transportation route.
