Supporting the contribution of the lecturers of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology to the world of education, the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology held a Textbook Writing Workshop. This event was held on Friday, January 20, 2023, in the Main Meeting Room, floor 1 of the ITS Rectorate Building. Presenting two experienced professors as resource persons, it is hoped that the participants will gain knowledge and experience regarding textbook writing.

The event started at 09.00 sharp which was opened by the MC then remarks from the Dean of FTEIC, Dr. I Ketut Eddy Purnama, S.T., M.T. The program was continued with two learning sessions. In the first session, the two resource persons gave a seminar followed by motivation for preparing textbooks and in the second session, participants were given training to practice writing textbooks directly by the resource persons.

Prof. Ir. Tarkus Suganda, MSc, Ph.D. is one of the speakers who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in terms of writing. He is a lecturer as well as a book writer and book editor at the Board of Professors at Padjadjaran University, Bandung. At the seminar, he provided material in the form of understanding textbooks, why lecturers should write textbooks, writing textbooks for generation Z and blended classrooms, and several other interesting materials.

The next resource person is Prof. Dr. Imam Robandi M.T., maybe his name sounds familiar. He has published dozens of books, many of which can be found in well-known bookstores. Some of his Best Seller works are Beauty of Japan, Artificial Intelligence, Becoming The Winner, and many more. His rich experience was shared through the Textbook Writing Workshop. He was also a resource person who provided direct training to participants in the writing training in the second session.
