Mission

To contribute actively with focus, plan, and sustainable actions in advancing since and technology through processes of educations, researches, and social activities for specific subjects related to Biomedical Engineering and general subjects in Engineering fields.

To produces graduates as human resources who have analytical skills and competences in Biomedical Engineering with specific characters of Professional, High Moral Standard, high competitiveness, and have capability in applying, developing, and advancing of science and technology for benifit of humanity.

To produce reputable scientific publications boh in national and international levels through Research and Development Programs, and Student Creativity Program.

Program Educational Objectives

Bachelor engineers who have specific competences in Biomedical Engineering, and general competences in Science and Technology, and have high competitiveness in national and global human resources market,

Bachelor engineers who have contribution in knowledge and understanding, engineering analysis, engineering design, engineering practice and product development, and transferable skills in Biomedical Engineering disciplines,

Bachelor engineers who able to produce reputable scientific publications which are beneficial for humanity on national and international levels.

Target

The targets to be achieved by the Department of Biomedical Engineering are:

  1. Graduates who have competence in accordance with what is needed by the user, with excellence:
    • Compatibility of graduates’ competencies with the needs of the workforce
    • Length of study period according to curriculum design
    • The Grade Point Average is above the average required by the user
    • Graduates who are ready to work in industry, bureaucracy, researchers / academics or business entrepreneurs
    • Graduates have certificates of at least 3 types of soft skills training
  2. The formation of a research climate and research results involving all components, and can be implemented and beneficial to the community
    • Increased number of research titles and funds
    • Increased synergy between lecturers, students and educational staff in shaping a conducive, effective and productive research climate.
  3. The establishment of a conducive environment to play an active role in serving the community, especially the application of controlled science to benefit the community.

Target

  1. Using the basics of medical science, engineering science, informatics, medical technology design and innovation to understand, analyze, and design new medical technologies that are useful for health services.
  2. Design and conduct research accompanied by the ability to analyze and interpret data in the field of medical technology applications.
  3. Using modern medical technology tools, for example: medical data imaging technology (MRI, Ultrasound, CT-SCAN), electronic and robotic technology for diagnosis, healing and rehabilitation to build insight in the context of new medical technology innovations.
  4. Identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems of new medical technology.
  5. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
