In brief the history of the journey of the FTE-ITS Biomedical Engineering Department can be summarized as follows:

1. Period 1984 – 2014
The field of Electronics studies majoring in Electrical Engineering, FTI-ITS (ITS Biomedical Electonics).

2. Period of March 2015
FTI-ITS Biomedical Engineering Study Program.

3. Period of January 2017
FTE-ITS Biomedical Engineering Department.

4. Period of January 2020
FTEIC-ITS Biomedical Engineering Department.

5. Period of June 2020
Department of Biomedical Engineering FTEIC-ITS with the addition of the Medical Technology Study Program.
