Opportunities to learn and gain knowledge will always be wide open for anyone looking for it. Salsabila Nurjihan is a 2017 ITS Material Engineering Department student who passed the selection to take part in the summer program at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
“Alhamdulillah … That was the first word I said when I received an email that I had passed the selection and become one of two students from ITS to take part in the Summer Program at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Germany,” said Salsabila.
“In addition to increasing my knowledge by taking classes that have been provided, I can also visit and learn directly in the two leading industries in Germany; Vattenfall (engaged in energy) located in the city of Berlin, Germany and BMW (engaged in automotive) located in Munich, Germany. In addition, I can also see firsthand research on future cities at the EUREF Campus, Berlin “he added.
“At first, I thought that adapting here would be difficult. Because of different cultures and languages. However, my new friends here make me feel no trouble and help me with everything. In addition, I also had the opportunity to study German, which was taught by a tutor from the International Office of Darmstady University of Applied Sciences. And I passed level A1 in German with satisfactory grades thanks to the help of my friends too, “he continued.
“Following this program was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life,” concluded Salsabila.
