Vision

The vision of the Department of Marine Engineering (DMarE) is to be center of excellence in education and research in the marine engineering with international reputation.

Mission

  1. To provide higher education program in the field of marine engineering which will deliver competitive graduates both nationally and internationally;
  2. To conduct research and to develop technology innovation in the field of marine engineering;
  3. To promote the Department of Marine Engineering as to be the most referred source and network to enhance education and research in the field of marine engineering;
  4. To encourage and to maintain high standards of academic moral, ethics, and values;
  5. To manage the integrity of the department by implementing the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independently, and equality.

Program Educational Objectives

  1. Lulusan Teknik Sistem Perkapalan yang dapat mendesain dan menganalisa sistem di kapal dan struktur di laut sesuai dengan kode, standar dan peraturan dengan memperhatikan aspek ekonomi, keselamatan dan lingkungan.
  2. Lulusan Teknik Sistem Perkapalan yang dapat melakukan perencanaan, proses, dan evalusi dalam pemeliharaan dan perbaikan sistem pada kapal dan struktur laut menggunakan Sistem informasi dan Teknologi Informasi.
  3. Lulusan Teknik Sistem Perkapalan yang berkualitas dan berbudi pekerti luhur, unggul dalam pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam bidang sistem perkapalan dengan menguasai teknologi dan seni.
  4. Lulusan Teknik Sistem Perkapalan yang mengembangkan diri secara berkelanjutan melalui sistem jejaring pada tingkat nasional maupun internasional yang dilandasi etika akademik, manfaat dan saling menguntungkan pada bidang pendidikan, riset dan pelayanan pada masyarakat.
  5. Lulusan Teknik Sistem Perkapalan yang menumbuhkan iklim enterpreneur yang kondusif dalam usaha membentuk masyarakat kelautan yang mandiri dan berkedaulatan.

Target

To achieve the vision, mission, and objectives of the Department of Marine Engineering, four objectives and strategies for achievement have been established, namely :

  1. Improving internal aspects of the department, namely improving the internal quality of the Department academic community on an ongoing basis, so as to achieve an international reputation.
  2. Increased activities and scientific and research contributions.
  3. Expansion of cooperation and networking.
  4. The creation of good departmental governance.

The Department of Marine Engineering has established a strategy to achieve the above strategic objectives for the next five years. To focus more on the strategy of achieving objectives, several sub-themes of strategic objectives have been developed to respond to changes that occur and based on the most current relevant conditions. The following is a description of the strategies of each of the targets and the sub-themes promoted.
