By considering efficiency, the reading room in the Faculty of Marine Technology is manage centrally by the faculty because of the similarity of the characteristics of each department in this faculty.

The reading room located in W Building on the 3rd floor of the Sukolilo ITS Campus can be accessed by all faculties of the faculty and is also open to the public. This reading room has various collections of books in maritime and marine technology in the form of textbooks, seminar proceedings, scientific journals and knowledge magazines. The reading room is also equipped with computer devices to access collections owned, connections with the central library (ITS) and other libraries that have collaboration with this reading room.

The reading room is headed by a lecturer from one of the departments within the FTK which is carried out in turn for each department. Currently the FTK reading room is headed by M. Sholikhan Arif, S.T., M.T. from the Department of Shipping Engineering.
