Since it was officially established in 2011, the development of enthusiasts to study in this department has continued to experience a significant increase. Within a period of 6 years, the number of enthusiasts has doubled. In 2011 the ratio of the number of registrants with a re-registration was 1:11 to 1:24 in 2018
Currently, interest in working in the maritime sector is no longer dominated by male students. The development of the composition of students from the gender side shows that the proportion of female students is getting bigger.
Besides achievement in academic matters, Department of Marine Transportation Engineering students are also excellent in various events both nationally and internationally.
