Titled Seatrans Super Sailing (Triple S) Reborn, this annual activity of the Department of Marine Transportation Engineering is back after 2 (two) years of suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2022, the Triple S activity sails from Surabaya to Labuan Bajo using KM Dharma Rucitra VII which is operated by PT Dharma Lautan Utama (DLU). The Triple S activity lasted for 5 (five) days from September 6-10 2022, attended by 54 students of the Department of Marine Transportation Engineering class of 2020 and accompanied by 2 lecturers and 1 technician.

This time, the Triple S Reborn 2022 activity carries the theme “Build the Leading Transporter Generation through Integrity and Creativity”. Its main activity is sailing with KM Dharma Rucitra VII from Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya to Wae Kelambu Harbor, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). In addition, visits were also made to several companies and government agencies related to the sea transportation sector. including:

  1. PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) atau Pelindo, Terminal Multipurpose Wae Kelambu Labuan Bajo,
  2. Kantor Kesyahbadaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Kelas III Labuan Bajo,
  3. Kantor BAPPELITBANGDA Kab. Manggarai Barat,
  4. Dinas Bina Marga, Bina Konstruksi dan Perhubungan Labuan Bajo.

The company visit this time was different from the previous Triple S activities, where this time students had the opportunity to visit and have direct dialogue with government agencies, namely Bappelitbangda Kab. West Manggarai and Dishub Labuan Bajo. Thus, students are expected to be able to recognize and develop maritime insight so that students can have a clear and real picture of how the business processes of companies and government agencies in the maritime sector are.
