The Department of Informatics is one of the major departments at the Ten November Institute of Technology (ITS) which has a very good reputation at the national level and is recognized at the international level. Starting in 2020, the Department of Information Engineering is part of the Faculty of Electrical Technology and Intelligent Information (FT-EIC). The ITS Information Technology Department has undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral study programs supported by a qualified teaching staff of 5 professors and 22 lecturers with doctoral qualifications from graduates of leading universities at home and abroad. In 2019, the Department of Informatics opened an International Class (IUP) supported by a joint degree program with the University of Queensland, the University of Newcastle, Fontys University, and so on.
Many achievements have been achieved by ITS Informatics Engineering students both nationally and internationally such as Gemastik, ImagineCup Indonesia, as well as international competitions RoboBoat and RoboCup. ITS Informatics Engineering graduates have superior competence in the field of informatics coupled with interpersonal, teamwork, managerial, and technopreneurship skills who have worked in national and multinational companies with an average waiting time to get a job less than 2 months after graduation.
Informatics Engineering has 8 (eight) fields of interest/family of subjects namely Algorithms and Programming (AP), Architecture and Computer Networks (AJK), Graphics, Interaction, and Games (GIGa), Network-Based Computing (KBJ), Intelligent Computing and Vision (APJ) KCV), Information Intelligent Management (MCI), Applied Modeling and Computing (PKT), and Software Engineering (RPL).
