ITS News — Proud news comes from the Material and Metallurgical Engineering Student Association (HMMT) of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) for the 2024/2025 period. At the Ormawa Awards 2025, organized by the Institute of Interests and Talents (LMB) ITS, HMMT successfully secured 1st Place as Outstanding Student Organization 2025. The event was held on December 12, 2025, at Plaza Dr. Angka, ITS Campus.
The award was received directly by Hafidh Nur Fauzan, Chairperson of the Material and Metallurgical Engineering Student Association for the 2024/2025 period. This achievement marks HMMT’s second major accomplishment, following its 1st Place as Most Popular Student Organization at the previous year’s Ormawa Awards, also organized by LMB ITS. This milestone reflects HMMT’s consistent commitment to implementing impactful and innovative programs, while actively contributing to the reputation of the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering (DTMM) and its student association.
In his statement, Hafidh expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all HMMT members for their dedication and collaboration throughout the year. According to him, the award does not belong to any individual, but rather represents the collective effort of all members who continue to strive to advance the organization.
“Alhamdulillah, this year HMMT has earned the 1st Place Outstanding Student Organization award. Thank you to all friends for your contributions in advancing and bringing honor to HMMT. This award belongs to all of us,” he said.
The Ormawa Awards is an annual agenda of LMB ITS aimed at recognizing outstanding student organizations within ITS, based on program achievements, development of interests and talents, as well as the social and academic impact they generate.
This achievement is expected to motivate HMMT to further enhance the quality of its activities, expand its positive impact, and serve as an inspiration for other student organizations at ITS.
