May 13, 2025 – The RESEARCHER AND RESEARCH STUDENT ENRICHMENT PROGRAM (R2SEP) once again presented a highly anticipated academic event for researchers and students. On May 9, 2025, a Workshop on Research Paper Writing in High Impact Factor Journals was held in Room MT 204, with Ms. Santi serving as the person in charge of the event. The main speaker for this activity was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suresh Sagadevan.
This workshop focused on the techniques for writing scientific articles for high impact factor journals—ranging from how to structure research arguments to utilizing appropriate reference sources. The objective was clear: to help participants understand the structure of effective scientific writing so their work has a greater chance of being published in reputable international journals.
This activity is crucial because quality scientific publication is a key benchmark of academic credibility. By understanding international standards, researchers can improve the quality of their manuscripts while simultaneously strengthening the institution’s reputation.
Throughout the session, participants intensively followed the material presented. Dr. Suresh delivered the core concepts of scientific writing in an easy-to-understand style, relevant to the challenges faced by novice authors. Through this workshop, R2SEP reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of research capacity and improving the quality of academic publications on campus. The event was brief, but its benefits are long-lasting.
In addition to theory, participants also engaged in a practical session analyzing sample articles from high-impact factor journals and learning to identify strengths and weaknesses in scientific manuscripts. The interactive approach ensured the workshop environment was dynamic and productive.
Through this activity, researchers and students of DTMM are expected to be increasingly motivated to produce high-quality scientific works and contribute to the development of knowledge at the global level. The R2SEP program serves as a tangible step for the faculty in building a research culture that is excellent, collaborative, and internationally competitive.
