On February 28, 2019 Prof. Andrej Bona as Head of Department of Exploration Geophysics – Curtin University and his staff, Patricia Kelly visited the Department of Geophysical Engineering – ITS (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember). This agenda is a reply of Mariyanto and Widya Utama’s visitation to Department of Exploration Geophysics – Curtin University on September 12, 2018. After this visitation, Mariyanto followed up to propose the establishment of bachelor double degree program in Department of Geophysical Engineering – ITS with Department of Exploration Geophysics – Curtin University as a collaborative partner. Department of Exploration Geophysics – Curtin University warmly welcomed the application for cooperation in the academic field.
During visitation to ITS, Prof. Andrej Bona and ITS staffs discussed more about the agreement draft of double degree program. The draft will be studied further by the both universities before being approved. In addition, Prof. Andrej Bona also gave a guest lecture on “Fiber-Optic Sensing and Full Waveform Inversion in Seismology”. This lecture was attended by many participants not only from Department of Geophysical Engineering but also from other departments.
