Vision and Mission


To be a center of higher education based on internationally reputable research in earth science and technology, especially to support the energy and natural resource industries as well as marine engineering, infrastructure development with an environmental perspective.


The mission of the Geophysics Engineering Department are:

  1. Organizing research-based higher education that is internationally reputable, accountable and responsive in the field of earth, through collaboration with government and private institutions / agencies, both domestically and abroad.
  2. Disseminating and actively applying methods, innovative work and all available resources in utilizing the results of technology research to solve energy and source problems natural resources, infrastructure and improving the quality of the environment of the community.
  3. Managing all of its resources by taking into account the principles of good governance (transparent, accountable, responsive, independent, and fair).
  4. Developing ethical values, morals, attitudes and technopreneurial characters in the academic community and educational staff.


The values that the Geophysics Engineering Department wants to keep up are:

Targets to be achieved by the Geophysics Engineering Department are:

1. Teaching / Academic Field

  • Producing graduates who are competitive
  • Organizing programs that are able to push towards international reputation


2. Research Field

  • Generate research that has an impact on revenue generation à encourage research whose products are worth selling
  • Produce paper that can increase h-index


3.  Community Service 

  • Implementing science and technology to improve the economy


4. Facilities and Infrastructure

  • Good facilities and infrastructure


5. Human Resources Sector

  • Competent human resource for tri dharma


6. Field of Organization and Management

  • The availability of comprehensive organization structure and SOP
  • Implementation of quality management systems at the Department level
