To become a higher education institution at the master’s level that serves as a reputable centre of excellence in both higher education and research in the field of Engineering Physics, at the national, regional, and international levels, and that is able to produce graduates capable of competing on a global scale
Mission
The mission carried by the Master’s Program in Engineering Physics is, in general, to be able to carry out and continually develop its function as the front line in advancing the most current field of Engineering Physics in order to:
Mission 1
To carry out Education, Research, and Community Service in the field of Engineering Physics that is of high quality and innovative;
Mission 2
To contribute actively in providing assistance to central and regional governments, industry, and the wider community in resolving the challenges they face in relation to technological problems, through research collaboration and the development of applied technology based on Engineering Physics;
Mission 3
To enhance the development of science and technology in the field of Engineering Physics in support of accelerating national development;
Mission 4
To improve the quality of education and research on the path towards becoming a World Class University.
More specifically, this mission can be elaborated into the following points:
Point 1
To manage master’s-level (S2) education and research characterised by the distinctive scholarly approach of engineering physics in an effective, efficient, and accountable manner;
Point 2
To produce outstanding innovations in the field of Engineering Physics through research, and to disseminate the results achieved;
Point 3
To become an excellent and trusted reference institution in resolving problems in the field of Engineering Physics and in contemporary science and technology in general.
Objectives
Based on the Vision and Mission formulated above, the objectives of the Master’s Program in Engineering Physics can be stated as follows:
Objective 1
Mastery of the Basic Sciences: Physics and Mathematics, together with a strong and thorough grounding in Engineering;
Objective 2
Possessing strong analytical skills in solving various engineering sciences problems in industry and society in an integrated manner; and
Objective 3
Being able to carry out new and original innovations in science and technology related to the field of Engineering Physics.
