Academic Facilities

The facilities at the Department of Engineering Physics, FT-IRS ITS, are developed each year in line with the advancement of the teaching and learning process, which requires adequate infrastructure and facilities; as of early 2018, several construction and renovation works were still underway.

The Department of Engineering Physics occupies rooms in Building E on floors I and II, as well as several rooms in Buildings C and P at the ITS Sukolilo Campus, with a total floor area of ± 4,000 m. This area is divided between academic activities and administrative management. To accommodate existing needs, the rooms are open from 07.00 to 22.00 WIB, five working days per week.

Classroom Facilities

All lecture rooms are equipped with standard teaching and learning facilities, providing a comfortable atmosphere for studying and for carrying out the learning process effectively. The surrounding environment is planted with trees that add to the campus’s greenery.

Reading Room and Laboratories

The available learning facilities include the reading room and the laboratory rooms. The latest reference books for the reading room and the laboratory equipment continue to be added gradually, so as to enrich the knowledge base for students’ final projects and lecturers’ research. Over the past 3 years, the reading room collection has grown by 473 books, with the following breakdown:

Laboratory equipment has likewise been added over the past 3 years, funded by PHKI activities and SPP/DPP.

Lecturer Rooms

The lecturer rooms occupy the second floor of Buildings C and P, comprising 36 rooms with a total floor area of 288 m, not including the dedicated rooms for the head and secretary of the study program. The occupancy of these rooms is as follows:

The lecturer rooms serve as workspaces, as venues for consultation and supervision as well as course discussions, and for other matters related to their work as lecturers.
