Master Program

The Master’s Programme (S2) in Engineering Physics at ITS has been in operation since 2008, established through Decree No. 2202/D/T/2008 of the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI), dated 15 July 2008. The programme integrates engineering concepts with a strong command of physics and mathematics to generate creative and innovative applications. Students are equipped with competencies in research and development, design, and analysis of a wide range of physical systems in industry.

Two fields of specialisation are offered: Industrial Instrumentation Engineering (RII) and Renewable Energy Engineering (RET). The RET specialisation was introduced in 2010 with mentoring support from the Postgraduate Programme Renewable Energy (PPRE), University of Oldenburg, Germany.

The programme is designed to be completed within four semesters (two years), with a maximum study period of four years and a minimum credit load of 36 credits (sks), including the thesis. The first two semesters deliver core courses that establish the principal competencies of Engineering Physics, together with the thesis proposal seminar. In the following two semesters, students select courses flexibly in accordance with their chosen field of concentration and thesis topic.

The programme holds national accreditation for the 2023–2028 period as well as ASIIN international accreditation, and is supported by a network of research collaborations with partner institutions in Asia, Europe, Australia, the Americas, and Africa.
