Mission
Mission 1
To deliver doctoral-level (S3) education in the discipline of Engineering Physics;
Mission 2
To conduct research characterised by:
a) the application of physics-based engineering to address the challenges of science and technology needs in national development;
b) anticipation of global trends in the latest science and technology development through outstanding innovation; and
c) the ability to compete (fairly, elegantly, and while upholding high academic ethics) with international peers in advancing the specific contemporary fields of knowledge that have been designated as the focus of development.

To carry out community service to help resolve national problems in interdisciplinary fields;

To manage doctoral education effectively, efficiently, and accountably, and to disseminate all management outcomes within the tridharma.
Objectives
Based on the Vision and Mission formulated above, the objectives of the doctoral program can be stated as follows:
Objective 1
To advance the discipline of Engineering Physics through synergistic educational and research activities, by optimising the availability of existing resources and establishing academic and research collaboration networks with other institutions in the same field, at the national, regional, and international levels;
Objective 2
To produce high-quality scientific works of international repute and to actively disseminate them, as well as to translate these research results into technological implementations that are feasible to apply in terms of both technical and economic aspects;
Objective 3
To produce doctoral graduates in Engineering Physics with a strong foundation in mastery of current science and technology, sharp analytical skills grounded in Engineering Physics and its derivatives, and academic ethics. These graduates must be able to play an active role in efforts to strengthen national competitiveness in the current climate of free competition.
