The following are the research fields available in the ITS Information Systems Department:
The data currently around us is heterogeneous, both in terms of structure (structured and unstructured), location (distributed or centralized), from various sources / resources (example: data from websites, text messages / SMS, etc.) , and volume (example: massive data or big data).
Along with the development of data sources and volumes, a variety of technologies have been developed to process the data. Each of these technologies is an implementation of a different paradigm regarding data, and is manifested in innovation in data processing and processing techniques.
The process and method of processing data becomes more valuable information
RDIB aims to become a center for research related to the use of data that supports the analysis of businesses and organizations to be transformed into meaningful information and knowledge so that it is useful in decision making. The scientific fields covered include:
• Computerized Decision Support: Decision Support System, System Modeling and Analysis.
• Data Management: Database and Database Management System (DBMS); Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL) System; Data Warehouse (DW), real-time DW, and Data Mart.
• Business Analytic: Optimizations; Data / Web / Text Mining; Web Analytic; Forecasting
• Knowledge Management: Knowledge Management System, Expert Locating System, Ontology.
• Intelligent Systems: Expert System, Artificial Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic, Genetic Algorithm, Intelligent Agent, Automated Decision System.
