The Department of Information Systems at ITS welcomed a study visit from MAN 2 Kota Malang on Monday, April 6, 2026. The visit aimed to broaden studentsβ perspectives about higher education and introduce them to the field of information technology and future academic opportunities.
During the session, students attended an introduction to the Department of Information Systems followed by an interactive discussion on current digital technology trends. The session was delivered by Ir. Achmad Holil, who emphasized the importance of young generations actively participating in the digital ecosystem.
In his presentation, Ir. Achmad Holil highlighted that students should not only be technology users but also become digital creators capable of producing innovative content. He encouraged participants to develop skills such as digital content creation, productive use of social media, and understanding basic concepts of data analytics and information technology. π‘
βYoung generations today must be brave enough to become digital creators, not just users. By becoming creators, students can produce meaningful work, build personal branding, and create positive impacts for society,β he explained during the motivational session.
The visit also provided students with insights into the academic environment of the Department of Information Systems, including study areas, career prospects, and research opportunities in information technology.
