Surabaya, June 21, 2026 – The Department of Information Systems at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) successfully organized an IABEE International Accreditation Coaching Clinic from June 19–21, 2026, at Hotel Ciputra World Surabaya. The event brought together department leaders, accreditation team members, faculty, and administrative staff involved in the preparation of accreditation documents for the Undergraduate Information Systems Study Program.

The coaching clinic featured Prof. Dr. Ir. Joko Lianto Buliali, M.Sc as the main speaker and facilitator. Throughout the three-day program, he provided comprehensive guidance on the preparation of accreditation documents in accordance with the standards established by the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE).

This initiative is particularly significant as the Undergraduate Information Systems Study Program plans to pursue IABEE accreditation in 2026 as part of its commitment to achieving international recognition and enhancing the quality of its educational processes. Obtaining IABEE accreditation will demonstrate that the program meets internationally recognized standards in engineering and computing education, while strengthening its global competitiveness.

During the coaching sessions, Prof. Joko Lianto Buliali thoroughly explained each accreditation criterion, including the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), the formulation and assessment of Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes, curriculum management, and stakeholder engagement. Particular attention was given to the effective preparation of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), ensuring that every statement is supported by relevant evidence and accurately reflects the program’s educational practices.

In addition to presentations, participants engaged in intensive discussions and document review sessions. Each accreditation criterion was examined in detail, allowing the accreditation team to refine their documentation and gain a deeper understanding of how to clearly and systematically present evidence of compliance with IABEE standards.

Through this Coaching Clinic, the Department of Information Systems ITS aims to strengthen its readiness for the upcoming IABEE accreditation process and further enhance its quality assurance system. The activity reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and the development of graduates who are well-prepared to compete and contribute in the global digital landscape.
