The Information Systems Department proudly welcomed Prof. Dr. Christoph Lattemann, Professor of Business Administration and Information Management from Constructor University, Bremen, Germany, as part of the World Class Professor Visit Program held on 23–24 February 2026.
Prof. Lattemann is an internationally recognized expert in digital transformation, innovation management, digital services, hybrid learning, and design thinking. He is the Founder & Director of D‑Forge, the Service Design Thinking Lab, and the founder of BlinkBase.io, a startup focusing on AI/ML algorithms and Large Language Models for industrial price prediction.

Prof. Lattemann opened the visit with an engaging scientific talk focusing on how meaningful technological innovation should deliver concrete societal and industrial impact. The topic closely aligns with several faculty research interests, and thus attendance from Ms. Hanim, Ms. Anisah, Mr. Yoga, and Ms. Tyas was highly encouraged.

In this session, Prof. Lattemann discussed the service-dominant logic as a contemporary framework for understanding digital services and innovation. He provided theoretical insights complemented by real-world applications drawn from his extensive research and industry collaborations.

This hands-on workshop introduced students to the fundamentals of Design Thinking, including problem framing, ideation, and rapid prototyping. The session aimed to strengthen students’ innovative mindset and practical problem‑solving abilities.
Prof. Lattemann holds an impressive academic track record with an H-index of 33, having authored 16 books and numerous articles in prestigious journals, including the Journal of World Business, Regional Studies, Thunderbird International Business Review, and the Journal of Electronic Markets. He has held visiting positions at leading institutions such as Harvard University, Stanford University, and Copenhagen Business School.
