Seatrans Study Excursion is a routine agenda for the students of the Marine Transportation Engineering Department which has been held since 2015. The theme “Exploring Global Technology Insights for National Maritime Industry Development” was taken for Seatrans Study Excursion 2018 held on 25th November until 29th November 2018 in Singapore. This event included 35 students from the Department of Marine Transportation Engineering 2016 and accompanied by 2 lecturers, Mr Achmad Mustakim, S.T., M.T., M.B.A. and Mr Dr. Eng. I Gusti Ngurah Sumanta Buana, S.T., M.Eng.

Marine Transportation Study Excursion Singapore 2018 aims to introduce and show directly to students about the elements of marine transportation in the world of industry on an international scale so that students have a clear picture of the objects learned in class, so they can graduate at international level that can advance national maritime. Students will get many opportunities to discuss with experts in the field of marine transportation and see first hand the operational conditions at the port and shipyard. In addition, students also get the opportunity to visit interesting places. The companies and university we visited are:

  1. Sembawang Shipyard
  2. PSA Singapore
  3. Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
