Expanding Student Career Horizons Department of Mathematics ITS Holds Guest Lecture with PT Pegadaian (Persero)

SURABAYA – The Department of Mathematics at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) remains committed to equipping its students with a deep understanding of career prospects in the professional world. On Tuesday (29/09/2026), the Department of Mathematics ITS successfully hosted a guest lecture titled “Career Opportunities and Pathways for Mathematics Graduates at PT Pegadaian (Persero)”.

The event featured two experienced speakers from PT Pegadaian (Persero): Alfafatih Rosada from the Operational Division of Regional Office XII PT Pegadaian (Persero) and Dadang Hidayat, Head of Human Development at PT Pegadaian. Both speakers shared strategic insights on how the core competencies of mathematics graduates—such as logical reasoning, data analysis, and analytical problem-solving—are highly sought after in the modern financial industry ecosystem.

In his presentation, Alfafatih Rosada explained the practical application of mathematical concepts in business operations and how quantitative analysis plays a vital role in field-level strategic decision-making. Meanwhile, Dadang Hidayat detailed the career roadmap, talent development programs, and various recruitment opportunities available to Mathematics ITS graduates at PT Pegadaian.
