The Department of Mathematics at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), driven by its students, successfully organized the 2026 ITS Mathematics Olympiad (OMITS 2026). This national-level competition was held for Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High School levels, as well as the MISSION category (Mathematics Competition for Higher Education) designed for university students.
The annual event attracted massive participation across Indonesia, registering 356 Elementary students, 580 Junior High students, and 970 Senior High students. Meanwhile, in the MISSION university category, 77 teams competed to demonstrate their critical and analytical thinking skills in solving complex mathematical challenges.
The execution of OMITS 2026 serves as a clear commitment by ITS Mathematics students to foster a healthy competitive spirit and spark interest in mathematics among the younger generation.
