The doctoral degree program in Mechanical Engineering is for the student wanting to develop the skills needed to create to create and discover new knowledge, direct and lead a research group, and otherwise serve as a leader in the process of discovery. The doctoral degree student must successfully complete at least 42 credit hours (12 credit for courses and 30 credit for dissertation). A student in this program must pass the Qualifying Exam and required to have minimum 2 publication in indexed international journals.
