History of the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering

1. In 1999, the Undergraduate Study Program of Materials Engineering (PSSTM) ITS was established (based on the decree of the Minister of Education and Culture number 178 / DIKTI / Kep / 1998)
2. In August 2005, PSSTM received accreditation “B” from the National Accreditation Board (BAN) PT No: 07520 / AK-IX-S1-015 / ITSQM / VIII / 2005
3. In January 2011, PSSTM received the highest accreditation “A” from the National Accreditation Board (BAN) No: 036 / BAN-PT / AK-XIII / S1 / I / 2011
4. In November 2015, PSSTM received accreditation “A” from the National Accreditation Board (BAN) PT No: 1155 / SK / BAN-PT / Accredited / S / XI / 2015
5. In March 2017, PSSTM received “A” accreditation from the National Accreditation Board (BAN) PT No: 119 // SK / BAN-PT / Accredited / S / III / 2018
6. In 2012, DTMM opened a postgraduate program in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Decree No. 107 / E / O / 2013 dated April 16, 2013
7. On June 30, 2018, PSSTM received full international accreditation from IABEE which is valid until June 30, 2021 with the next evaluation type in the form of interim with visit with accreditation certificate number 00019.A dated December 11, 2018
8. On January 18, 2021, PSSTM participated in the AUN QA program assessment certification and was certified until January 17, 2026 with certificate number AP584ITSDEC20
9. On March 18, 2021, the post-interim evaluation accreditation status of PSSTM was renewed with accredited results and is valid until March 31, 2023
10. The Master of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering Study Program participated in the ASIIN International accreditation on December 9, 2022 and is accredited which is valid until September 30, 2028
11. On April 1, 2023, PSSTM obtained UNGGUL accreditation with number 0028/SK/LAM Teknik/PYT/4/2023 which is valid from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2026
12. On April 1, 2023, PSSTM was accredited by IABEE with the interim with visit type which is valid from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2026
13. The Master of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering Study Program participated in the LAM Teknik accreditation and was accredited GOOD which is valid from April 21, 2023-April 20, 2028
14. The opening of the Doctoral Study Program in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering on February 1, 2024 in accordance with the Decree of the ITS Chancellor number 15/IT2/T/HK.00.01/II/2024
15. The Doctoral Study Program in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering obtained LAM Teknik accreditation according to the Decree number 0572/SK/LAM Teknik/AD/X/2024 with GOOD status which is valid until 21 October 2026
