Strengthening International Academic Collaboration with the Technical University of Munich

was honored to host an academic visit from Walter Timo de Vries, Chair of Land Management at the Department of Aerospace and Geodesy, TUM School of Engineering and Design, Technical University of Munich, Germany.
This visit marked an important milestone in strengthening international academic networks and fostering global collaboration. During the visit, a constructive and engaging discussion session was conducted, focusing on potential collaborations in education, research, and capacity development.
Several strategic opportunities were explored, including student exchange programs, double degree schemes for International Undergraduate Program (IUP) and Master’s students, as well as potential joint research initiatives in the fields of land management, geodesy, and geospatial sciences. The discussion reflected a shared commitment to advancing academic excellence through international collaboration and interdisciplinary integration.
This visit is expected to serve as a significant starting point for establishing a sustainable partnership between the Department of Geomatics Engineering ITS and the Technical University of Munich. Through this collaboration, both institutions aim to enhance global academic competitiveness and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and technology in the field of geomatics.
