Department of Geophysical Engineering ITS has successfully held a international session with resource speaker from Malaysia. Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Latiff which was visiting ITS on Friday, 22 August 2025, came to Geophysical Engineering Department to deliver session entitled “Study Abroad at Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) Malaysia”.

Attended by mostly new students, Batch of 2025, this event was held from 13.00 until 15.00. Ir. Wien Lestari, S.T., M.T., former Secretary of Department, gave opening speech before presentation session from Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Latiff, which is current Chair of Geosciences Department, UTP.

The main session, which is Introduction to Geosciences Department, was enthusiastically followed by ITS Geophysical Engineering students. Not only the department introduction, Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Latiff also delivered how is the study atmosphere in UTP and how is current progress of some ITS Geophysical Engineering’s students in UTP.
