On April 28, 2025, the Department of Biomedical Engineering held the 2nd ITS-Vives COIL 2025 Meeting with the theme “Medical Devices and Health Technology.” This event was part of the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) program, which aims to strengthen academic collaboration between the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) and Vives University, Belgium.
The event was held online via Zoom, allowing for the participation of various parties, including lecturers, students, and professionals in the field of biomedical engineering. Discussions at the meeting focused on medical device innovations that support advanced healthcare systems. Participants shared insights on the development of medical technology, the challenges faced, and opportunities for future research and development collaboration.
Throughout the event, presenters from ITS and Vives University presented various topics related to medical technology, including the use of artificial intelligence in disease diagnosis, the development of rehabilitation devices, and the integration of IoT-based healthcare systems.
