Surabaya, August 3, 2026 — The Library of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) welcomed two educational visit groups on Monday (August 3): 20 students from the University of Malaya participating in the Internatics FTEIC program and 26 participants in the 2026 Thematic Literacy Community Service Program (KKN). These visits served as an opportunity to share experiences and introduce the facilities and services of the ITS Library as a modern center for learning and literacy.

The visit by students from the University of Malaya is part of an effort to strengthen academic ties between the University of Malaya and ITS. Through this activity, the students were given the opportunity to become more familiar with the ITS Library environment, including its various services, collections, and facilities that support learning, research, and academic collaboration.

Meanwhile, the visit by participants of the 2026 Thematic Literacy Community Service Program (KKN) was organized as a token of appreciation for the students who had actively participated in various literacy activities and competitions during the program at the Rumah Cerdas Pintar site in Tunjung Village, Burneh Subdistrict, Bangkalan Regency. This activity is expected to provide new learning experiences, boost motivation to read, and introduce the university library as a comfortable and inspiring learning space.

While at the ITS Library, both groups took part in a library tour that introduced them to the library’s various service areas and facilities. The participants were given a guided tour to familiarize themselves with the reading rooms, collections, digital services, and various support facilities available to both the academic community and visitors.

The library tour took place in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. Students from the University of Malaya seemed intrigued by the podcast area at ABC Corner. Some of them even tried sitting in the podcast studio and interacting as if they were hosting a live broadcast, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Meanwhile, participants in the 2026 Thematic Literacy Community Service Program (KKN) also took part in each activity with great enthusiasm and curiosity, actively listening to explanations and exploring the available facilities.

Through this visit, the ITS Library hopes to continue serving as an open space for educational activities, expand its network of partnerships with various institutions, and inspire the younger generation to become more engaged with a culture of literacy and lifelong learning.
