Surabaya – The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Library officially launched its first podcast series titled “Tips and Tricks for Becoming a Productive Librarian: Work Productively, Serve Effectively, and Keep Growing” on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 10:00–10:30 a.m. WIB via the ITS Library’s YouTube channel. This podcast features Eva Mursidah, S.I.Pust., a reference and information literacy librarian at the ITS Library, as the guest speaker and is hosted by Asri Fatihatus Syafira, S.I.Pust., who is also a librarian at the ITS Library.

On that occasion, Eva was introduced as one of the outstanding librarians who has remained productive and consistently innovative throughout her career at the ITS Library. She has achieved numerous accomplishments, including being named ITS Outstanding Librarian in 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2019, a finalist for the National Outstanding Librarian award in 2015 and 2019, and winner of the ITS Innovative Educational Staff Award in 2018 and 2022. In addition, from 2017 to the present, Eva has also been actively receiving research grants from ITS, demonstrating her commitment to developing innovation and a culture of research within the library environment.

In the podcast, Eva shared her experiences on how to provide excellent service to library users, the various innovations she has successfully implemented throughout her career, and the importance of a supportive work environment in fostering ideas that benefit many people.

As a reference and information literacy librarian, Eva also highlighted the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) and the importance of librarians keeping up with technological advancements. According to her, amid the abundance of information generated by AI, librarians play a strategic role as “navigators” who help users find accurate, credible, and relevant information.

Through this inaugural podcast, the ITS Library hopes to create a space for sharing inspiration and knowledge with both the academic community and the general public. This podcast series marks the beginning of a regular program by the ITS Library, which will air every Thursday as a platform for sharing inspiration, experiences, and insights through discussions with various guests.
