Surabaya, June 15, 2026 – The Library of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) welcomed participants of the 2026 Global Summer Course in Sustainable Innovation (GSCI) on Monday (June 15, 2026). This visit was part of a series of programs organized by the Department of Industrial Chemical Engineering at the ITS Vocational Faculty in collaboration with partner universities abroad to introduce the campus’s facilities and academic services to the participants.
Before visiting the library, the participants first attended a welcome and orientation session in the seminar room on the second floor. Afterward, the group of about 20–25 participants continued their activities with a library tour of the ITS Library.
The tour began on the 5th floor and proceeded sequentially down to the 1st floor. During the tour, participants were introduced to the various services, learning facilities, collections, and academic support spaces available at the ITS Library.
Although the visit was quite short due to the packed schedule on the first day of the program, the participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the library tour. The various facilities at the ITS Library successfully captured their attention, especially the mini theater, which was one of the favorite stops during the visit.

Not only that, but the participants also seemed enthusiastic about trying out the typewriters on display in the library’s mini-museum area. The collection of very thick final projects was a special attraction in its own right and piqued the participants’ curiosity. The atmosphere grew even more lively as they captured photos together in various corners of the library, including the Aussie Corner, which was one of the favorite spots for taking pictures.
The enthusiasm shown by the participants during the visit reflected their interest in the facilities and services offered by the ITS Library. Some participants even expressed a desire to return on a future visit to explore the library in greater depth.
This visit provided participants with an opportunity to learn more about ITS’s academic facilities and services, particularly the ITS Library, which serves as a center for learning and literacy on campus.
