Surabaya, January 18, 2026 – The Head of the Surabaya City Library and Archives Office, Ir. Yusuf Masruh, MM., visited the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Library on Thursday (15/1). The visit, which took place from 3:00 p.m. until completion, was conducted to directly observe the library’s facilities and services as part of efforts to strengthen the role of libraries in supporting community literacy.
During the visit, Ir. Yusuf Masruh, MM. toured the ITS Library area and reviewed a number of outstanding facilities, including the Migas Corner. He was accompanied by the Head of the ITS Library, Agus Santoso, S.Sos., M.Med.Kom., who provided explanations about the collection, services, and management concept of the ITS Library, which prioritizes innovation, education, and user comfort
During this visit, Ir. Yusuf Masruh, MM. expressed his appreciation for the management of the ITS Library, which he considered capable of presenting the library as a modern and inclusive learning space. He also expressed his support for literacy programs that involve school children visiting the library, as a strategic step to foster an interest in reading and a culture of literacy from an early age. In the future, it is hoped that there will be synergy between the ITS Library and the Surabaya City Library and Archives Office in presenting sustainable literacy programs that have a broad impact on the community.
