ICONSTAFF 2020

The International Conference for Non-Academic Staff 2020 (IconStaff 2020) by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Global Engagement is a platform for Non-Academic staff across the globe to bring new outlook in career building.

The IconStaff 2020 is one of ITS innovations to strengthen the Non-Academic staff capability amid the pandemic situation. Every year, ITS is consistently sending their Non-Academic staff—such as administration staff, librarian, lab technician even security staff, for internships and excursion to partner universities in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Since 2013, ITS  has created series of enrichment program for Non-Academic staff. One of them is the Outbound Staff Mobility, which aims to give ITS Non-Academic staff an international exposure and to develop their skills. This staff mobility program becomes ITS’ strategic plan as it acknowledges the importance of Non-Academic staff existence to a successful campus internationalization. In 2017, ITS also started the Inbound Staff Mobility program, which aims to build a strong international network between ITS Non-Academic staff and Non-Academic staff from partner universities.

Bringing the theme “Exalting University’s Supporting Teams: Celebrating New Ideas,” participants of IconStaff 2020 will have the opportunity to share their experience on how a management’s top-down policy as well as bottom-up initiatives empower Non-Academic staff thus enhancing staff performances. This conference will also allow participants to bring rich perspectives during the conference, discussion and networking.
