The Graduate School of Science and Technology (GSST), Kumamoto University, Japan, is pleased to announce the International Joint Education Program for Science and Technology (IJEP) Short-Term Exchange Program for postgraduate students from partner universities, including Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS).
Start of Program: 1 October 2026
Duration Options:
6 months
11 months
Host Institution: Kumamoto University, Japan
Participants will engage in a wide range of academic and cultural activities, including:
A research project in a GSST laboratory
Coursework, including “Current Science and Technology in Japan” (2 credits)
At least three classes related to environmental issues
A field trip
Midterm and final presentations
Final report submission

Active Master’s or Doctoral student at ITS (any batch)
Good academic standing
English proficiency (minimum scores):
TOEFL iBT: 71
TOEIC: 700
IELTS: 6.0

Letter of Recommendation from academic supervisor
Academic transcripts in English, including GPA and class ranking
Official English proficiency test result (TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS)
