Dear ITS Students,

We are pleased to announce that HSE University, Saint Petersburg, Russia is now accepting applications for its Fall 2026 Semester Exchange Program (1 September – 30 December 2026).

Program Details:

Tuition Fee: Waived
Expenses Covered by Students: Learning materials, accommodation, living costs in Russia, round-trip flight tickets, visa, quarantine (if applicable), and insurance.
Important: Students must ensure they meet Russia’s entry regulations and arrange their own funding for the trip.

Academic Information:

Course Selection: All courses are open to exchange students, subject to prerequisites and language requirements.
English-Taught Courses: Available in the HSE University Course Catalogue.
However, before searching for courses, we recommend students to look at the list of educational programmes (both in Russian and in English) offered at our campus (https://spb.hse.ru/en/io/semester/exchangestudent – at the bottom of the page) to see if we have their field of interest in the relevant language.
Study Plan Adjustments: Changes are allowed within the first two weeks of the semester. More details can be found on the course selection page.
Workload: Up to 30 ECTS per semester.

HSE University offers exchange students a new student dormitory at affordable rates.

Eligibility:

ITS Students (Diploma/S1 batch 2023 & 2024 & all S2 batches).
S1 students must take and transfer the maximum credit opportunity.

Valid English Proficiency Test Certificate
- Minimum B2 level according to CEFR (e.g., TOEFL iBT 87 / IELTS 6.0)
- Screenshots from UPT Bahasa & TOEFL prediction tests are NOT accepted
One Recommendation Letter (from an academic advisor)
Scanned Valid Passport (Min. validity: 18 months from September 2024)
Statement Letter (Download here)
GCW Certificate (Minimum C for GCW Non-Degree, GCW IUP Basic, GCW IUP Advanced, or GCW Non-Degree Test Score Min. 80)
Parents’ Support Letter (Signed by parents, confirming awareness and financial support for participation in this program – no format required)
