Housing & Estimated Costs

Housing Options

International House (Dormitory) – Guaranteed for Exchange Students

  • Single occupancy room in a 4-room unit
  • Shared living room, shower, toilet, and laundry
  • Furnished with a bed, desk, chair, and telephone (incoming calls only)
  • Fees: 17,000 JPY/month + 10,000 JPY one-time deposit

🔹 Off-campus Housing: Available, but finding a short-term rental can be challenging.

  • Dormitory Stay: ~80,000 JPY/month
  • Public Apartment: ~100,000 JPY/month
  • Mandatory Japanese Health Insurance: ~3,000 JPY/month

Eligibility & Requirements

📌 Open to: ITS S1 Students (Batch 2023 & 2024)
📌 Minimum GPA: 3.0/4.0
📌 English Proficiency (Valid Test Score Required)

  • TOEFL iBT 61 or higher
  • Any internationally recognized test equivalent to TOEFL iBT 61
    ❌ TEFL/EFL from UPT Bahasa is NOT accepted

  6. Recommendation Letter from Academic Advisor

    • Signed only by Head of Department (Leave the Institutional Coordinator section blank)
  10. GCW Certificate or Test Result
    • GCW Non-Degree/IUP Basic/IUP Advanced (Min. C) OR Test Score (Min. 80 points)
  11. COE Form (Instructions provided here and here )

Application Steps

1️⃣ Submit your application through: Study Abroad Application Form
2️⃣ Combine all documents into 1 (.zip/.rar) file
3️⃣ After submission, send a confirmation email to studyabroad@its.ac.id with the subject format:
📧 “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_Kumadai_NAME_NRP”

💡 Parental Consent: Applicants must consult their parents about financial aspects and submit a Parental Statement Letter (in Bahasa) during the interview.
