Course Title: Collaborative Project Studies on Disaster, Environment, and Climate Challenges in the Context of SDGs

Schedule: Every Wednesdays, 11:05–12:35 (Indonesia)
Period: September 17, 2025 – January 14, 2026

Program Overview

ITS and Soka University invite ITS students to join a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) program focused on global and local sustainability challenges. This course brings together students from both universities to explore real-world issues related to disaster management, environmental degradation, and climate change, all within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Course Topics

Students will choose one of the following themes and work in international groups:

  • IT for Disaster Management
  • Deadly Rip Current Hazard in Indonesia
  • Waste Problems in Indonesia
  • Livestock and Climate Change

Syllabus

Learning Activities

  • Weekly lectures by experts from ITS and Soka University
  • Group discussions (separate and joint sessions)
  • Mid-term individual report
  • Final group presentation
  • Final individual report

Eligibility

  • Open to all ITS students (Undergraduate, Master’s) from batches 2022–2024
  • Able to commit to the full program schedule
  • Proficient in English communication
  • Access to a computer and stable internet connection

Required Documents

All documents must be in PDF format and submitted as one .zip/.rar file:

  1. CV (include birthdate, phone number, and email)
  2. Scan of passport (if available)
  3. Scan of ITS Student Card
    Freshmen (2024) may submit a screenshot of their SIM Akademik profile
  4. Motivation Letter (max. 2 pages; include name, NRP, and chosen topic)
  5. Statement Letter
    Download from bit.ly/its-student-exchange; replace Head of Department signature with parent’s signature
