Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) is now accepting applications for the First Semester 2025-2026 exchange program (22 July – 24 November 2025). Tuition fees are waived, but students are responsible for their learning materials, accommodation, living expenses, round-trip flight tickets, and travel insurance.

About Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB):

Program Costs

Registration Fee: BND$200
Accommodation: Estimated BND$250/month at The Core Residential College (5-minute walk from UTB). Application via UBD Corp
Living Costs: Estimated BND$300 – BND$400/month (excluding accommodation)

Visa & Student Pass Procedure

UTB issues an offer letter to confirm acceptance.
UTB’s Registrar’s Office submits a support letter for the student visa application.
UTB receives and forwards the Immigration Reply Letter of Approval to students.
Students present this letter at Brunei International Airport to obtain a Single Entry Visa (BND$20).
Upon arrival, UTB assists students in obtaining their Student Pass, Multiple Entry Visa, and Brunei Identity Card within two weeks.
Students must submit required forms and documents, including a BND$50 fee for the Multiple Entry Visa.

Insurance Requirement

All international students must obtain personal insurance covering worldwide repatriation, accidents, and personal injury for the entire study period at UTB.

Eligibility for ITS Students

This program is open to ITS students who meet the following criteria:

Active students in D4/S1 (Batch 2022 & 2023) from a related department
Minimum GPA: 2.75
English Proficiency: TOEFL/EFL minimum 550

Scanned Official Academic Transcript (English, min GPA 3.00)
Scanned TOEFL/EFL/IELTS certificate (min score 550)
Scanned passport information page (valid for at least 12 months before the start date)
Motivation Letter (1 page, A4, Arial 11, margin 3,3,3,3)
Recommendation Letter from an Academic Advisor/Lecturer
Statement Letter & Learning Agreement (Download here), signed by the Head of Department
Medical Check-Up Certificate & Valid Insurance (can be submitted after ITS IO selection)
GCW Non-Degree / GCW IUP Basic / GCW IUP Advanced / R2SEP certificate (for Master students)
Parental Support Letter (in Bahasa) confirming financial and mental support (no specific format required)

After submitting, send a confirmation email to studyabroad@its.ac.id with the subject: “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_UTB_NAME_NRP”
