With the end of the leadership term of the Chairperson of ADPII for the 2020-2022 period, Arie Kurniawan ST MDs who is also a lecturer at the Department of Industrial Product Design, has perfectly completed the responsibilities and mandates given to him. Arie said, the management has made great achievements, some of which have succeeded in attracting new members, as of now the total members have reached 473 people. In addition, ADPII has succeeded in becoming a partner of the government, especially in relation to regulations.

Various Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) that have been made by ADPII have collaborated with several ministries, such as the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop), the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) and the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag). The various MoUs that have been agreed are like a fortress that protects ADPII from other associations that want to partner with the government regarding Product Design (Despro).
The existence of this MoU causes other parties to be unable to partner with the government regarding product design because it is already held by ADPII. “Moreover, there is only one product design association in Indonesia, only ADPII and nothing else,” said Arie.
